Rajshree Thapa, Prabhatpal Thakuri and Niti Shah Lead the Colourful Video Song Jadau
The title song ‘Jadau Hajur’ from the movie ‘Jadau’ has been released, bringing Niti Shah, Prabhatpal Thakuri and Rajshree Thapa together in a vibrant, dance-focused music video.
The song marks a major step in the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its scheduled nationwide theatrical release on Asoj 9, 2083, corresponding to September 25, 2026.
Featuring colorful sets, energetic group performances and traditional celebratory elements, the video places the film’s three young actors at the centre of the screen. Choreographer Ramji Lamichhane has designed the dance movements and large ensemble sequences.
Popular playback singers Rajan Raj Shiwakoti and Rachana Rimal have performed the song. Its lyrics and music have been created by Babul Giri, who has shaped the title track around the familiar Nepali greeting ‘Jadau Hajur.’
As the song shares its name with the film, the release serves as more than a regular soundtrack launch. It introduces the film’s musical identity while offering audiences an early look at its principal cast, visual style and celebratory tone.

Rajshree’s presence alongside the pair adds another important face to the film’s promotional campaign. However, detailed information about her character and its connection to the central storyline has not yet been widely disclosed through official promotional material.

The film was formally announced with a script-puja ceremony at Bhadrakali Temple in Kathmandu in April 2025. Since then, casting announcements and production updates have gradually positioned the project as a romantic social drama dealing with relationships, identity and social divisions.
‘Jadau’ Scheduled for Asoj 9 Release
The film is currently being promoted for a nationwide theatrical release on Asoj 9, 2083—Friday, September 25, 2026. An earlier online database listing carried a previous August release date. However, the promotional announcement issued alongside the title song supports the updated Asoj release schedule.
