Popular Nepali Movie ‘Chhakka Panja’ Team is set to entertain audiences in the United States with its “Chhakka Panja USA Comedy Tour 2025.” The official announcement was made during a press meet held in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The tour begins on September 19 in Baltimore and will travel to US cities, including Columbus (Sept 20), Akron (Sept 21), and Dallas, Texas (Sept 27). The Dallas show will be part of the Dallas Momo Festival 2025, where organizers expect an audience of nearly 15,000 attendees. Dates for some locations are still to be revealed.
Leading the tour will be Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, and Jitu Nepal, representing the Chhakka Panja team. They will be joined by popular host Asif Shah, singer Meena Pokharel, and singer Dharmendra Sewan.
Organized by Atreya Production House and Global Events, the tour aims to strengthen the connection between Nepali artists and their international audience. The production company has been active in distributing Nepali films in the USA and producing musical events, including a recent successful concert with Prakash Saput.
Returning to the USA after almost 15 years, Deepak Raj Giri shared his excitement: “Every American city has Nepali audiences who love our films. Since we don’t have a new movie release this Dashain, the comedy tour is our way to meet and thank them in person.”
Director and actress Deepa Shree Niraula admitted she felt “a little nervous” about performing on stage after a long time but is equally eager to celebrate Dashain with fans.
Similarly, actor Jitu Nepal said: “This Dashain will be more special as we’ll celebrate with our audience in the USA through the Chhakka Panja Comedy Tour.”
The event is being coordinated in Nepal by Corevex Solutions’ Harshit Ghimire and in the USA by Sudip Atreya and Suman Adhikari.
