Nai Nabhannu La-2 grabs seven awards at INFA Award, Hong Kong

Film ‘Nai Nabhannu La-2’ has grabbed awards under maximum of seven categories including ‘Best Film’ at the INFA Award organized by International Nepali Film Academy in Hong Kong.

In the award ceremony held at Yuen Long Theatre on Sunday night, Bikash Acharya received award for ‘Best director’, Suraj Singh Thakuri for ‘Co-Actor’, Priyanka Karki for ‘Co-Actress’, Basanta Sapkota for ‘Musician’, Dr Krishna Hari Baral for ‘Lyrics’ and Prem Pariyar got award for ‘Singer’.

Actor Aryan Sigdel grabbed award for ‘Best Actor’ through ‘Mahasush’, and actress Narmata Shrestha received ‘Best Actress’ award for ‘Maun’. Likewise, Nabin Gauli and Suraj Bhusal received award for ‘Best Story’ for the same film.

Similarly, Suraj Kumar Nalbo grabbed ‘Best Script’ award for ‘Biteka Pal’, actress Jharana Thapa in negative role category through ‘Kohi Ta Chha’, Sitaram Kattel under comedy role category for ‘Chha Ekan Chha’, singer Milan Amatya received ‘Best singer’ for ‘Kaali’ and Kabiraj Ghahatraj was awarded under ‘Best Dance’ category through the same film.

Anmol KC received ‘New Actor’ award for ‘Hostel’. Likewise, Sujata Koirala received award under ‘New Actress’ category for ‘Manjari’, Purusottam Pradhan for ‘Cinematography’ though ‘Dhuwani’, Ananjaya Khadka for ‘Editing’ through ‘Saghuro’, Rajendra Khadgi for ‘Fight Director’ through ‘Noting Impossible’ Malina Joshi was declared ‘Fresh Face’ for ‘Ritu’.

During the function, Dayahang Rai was declared ‘Most Popular Actor’ and Priyanka Karki was announced ‘Most Popular Actress.’

Producer Uddhav Poudel was honored with ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ carrying a purse of Rs 500,000 for his contribution to Nepali film sector during the program inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Development Prakash Man Singh.

Shiva Shrestha, Bhuvan KC, Bijay Lama, Gauri Malla and Abinash Gurung were honored with different awards, while Nisha Adhikari and Arjun Karki who climbed Mount Everest were also honored.
