The official trailer of Nepali film ‘Maijharo’ has been released, creating an instant buzz in the Nepali film community. The film is written and directed by actor comedian Wilson Bikram Rai (popularly known as Takme Buda).
The three-minute and forty-nine-second trailer gives a glimpse into a heart touching story of love, sacrifice, and struggle. It beautifully captures the emotional turbulence of a couple caught between love and life’s unexpected challenges.
Starring Dhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, Diya Pun, and Dayahang Rai, the trailer showcases breathtaking visuals, powerful performances, and a strong sense of Nepali identity. Wilson Bikram Rai himself appears in a pivotal role, bringing his signature touch of authenticity and depth.
Before the trailer launch, the team had already released two songs, a soulful romantic number and an energetic Sakela dance song celebrating the eastern Nepali culture. Both tracks have received wonderful appreciation on social media, raising anticipation for the film’s release.
The film filmed across the scenic landscapes of Ilam, Panchthar, and nearby hill regions, ‘Maijharo’ reflects the beauty and culture of eastern Nepal. The film, produced under the banner of Takme Productions, features an ensemble cast including Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Pushkar Gurung, Abhayraj Baral, Mautse Gurung, Kavita Ale, Rajani Gurung, Prem Subba, Uday Subba, Anil Subba, Bhupendra Lingden, and Bishal Limbu.
The soulful music is composed by Anmol Gurung and Torempahang Rai, with vocals by Rajesh Payal Rai, Jhuma Limbu, Melina Rai, and Asmita Adhikari. The visuals are captured by cinematographer Saurabh Lama, while RR Films handles the theatrical distribution and OSR Digital holds the digital rights.
‘Maijharo’ is set for a nationwide release on Kartik 7 (Bhai Tika day of Tihar) making it one of the most awaited Nepali films of this festive season.
