‘Speak to Me’ by Choreographer Rojin Shakya would feature Dr. Garima Shrestha


Friday 30th October would be the date when Dr. Garima Shrestha would be live in conversation in ‘Speak to me’ a talk show by fashion choreographer Rojin Shakya via social media Facebook.

Dr. Garima Shrestha is a campaigner promoting reusable sanitary pads and working on an awareness campaign regarding menstrual health and hygiene. Dr. Garima has done MBBS from Manipal Teaching hospital, Pokhara in 2018. Currently, she is working as a medical officer at Manmohan Cardio-Thoracic Vascular and transplant Centre (Teaching Hospital), Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

Dr. Garima is the founder of SHE, a volunteering organization working on improving the health and hygiene of women in Nepal by making home-made reusable sanitary pads. SHE itself means a female and SHE – S stands for sanitary pads (Reusable), H stands for Healthy and Handmade, E stands for Environment friendly. The motto of the organization is to make sanitary pads accessible for everyone so that women and girls shouldn’t have to face adverse health consequences due to lack of sanitary pads. Because of her campaign, the lady is also popularly named as Nepali Pad woman. The lady is also the recipient of Youth Initiative Awards 2020.

Dr. Garima does have experienced the pageantry scene back in 2005, the part of Kid Queen Nepal 2005 and was one of the top 7 finalists and winner of best dress category. Likewise, she was the winner of miss talent and best dress award in Miss Little Newa 2006. The lady has also done a couple of music videos and photoshoots.

The 47h edition of Speak to me would go live on 30th October Friday at 4 pm on the Facebook page of Rojin Shakya and would be covered by glamournepal.com, the promotional partner for the talk show.
