Nepali film Jaari 2: Song of Chyabrung, directed by Upendra Subba, has once again shifted its release date. Originally slated for September 19 (Asoj 3), the film was first pushed to October 23 (Kartik 6) during Tihar’s Bhai Tika. However, due to the recent Gen-Z movement that affected several film screenings, the makers have now confirmed a fresh release date.

According to production banners Bansuri Films and Kabaddi Films, Jaari 2 will officially hit cinemas nationwide on November 7, 2025 (Kartik 21). Producer Rambabu Gurung announced the decision via social media, unveiling a new poster and explaining that the date was finalized after careful discussions with various stakeholders.
The change in schedule has given breathing space to other Tihar releases such as Barista Balaram, Soltini, and Maijharo. However, the film Man Binako Dhan, also planned for Kartik 21, will now face stiff competition from Jaari 2, one of the most awaited blockbusters of the year.
Starring Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Vijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Richa Sharma, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Mao Tse Gurung, and Kamalmani Nepal, the film is the official sequel to the 2023 superhit Jaari, which grossed more than NPR 170 million at the domestic box office.
Jaari 2 draws inspiration from the Limbu community’s traditional musical instrument Chyabrung. The film brings together a strong technical team including cinematographer Sanjay Lama, editor Nimesh Shrestha, sound designer Uttam Neupane, background scorer Kovid Bajra, and colorist Rajendra Moktan.
With its rich cultural storytelling, powerful cast, and the massive success of the first film, Jaari 2 is expected to create waves at the box office once again.
