Nepalese-born British fashion designer Sanyukta Shrestha has added another international milestone to her growing legacy after winning the prestigious “Wedding Boutique of the Year” title at the London Wedding Awards 2026.
The major recognition celebrates Shrestha’s remarkable 15-year journey in redefining sustainable luxury bridal fashion in London, one of the world’s leading fashion capitals. Known for blending eco-conscious values with high-end couture craftsmanship, Shrestha has become one of the most respected names in ethical bridal design across the United Kingdom.

International media have often described her as the “Greta of the Wedding World” for her pioneering work in eco-luxury fashion. Long before sustainability became a global trend in the fashion industry, Shrestha launched her environmentally conscious bridal brand in 2011 with a vision focused on ethical beauty and responsible craftsmanship.
Her influence has already secured a historic place in fashion history. Shrestha became the first designer of Nepali origin to have one of her bridal creations permanently preserved in the prestigious Fashion Museum collection in the United Kingdom. The museum houses more than 100,000 fashion pieces dating back to the 16th century, making the recognition a significant achievement not only for her career but also for Nepal’s representation in global fashion.

This latest victory further strengthens her reputation as a global leader in sustainable bridal couture. Her London boutique has consistently received major awards and nominations over the years, supported by industry professionals and brides who admire the brand’s ethical philosophy and personal service.
Speaking about the achievement, Sanyukta Shrestha shared an emotional message reflecting on the people behind the success of the brand.
She stated that while fashion is her artistic passion, bringing a bride’s dream to life remains the true purpose of her work. She also dedicated the award to her brides, artisans, team members, and supporters who have believed in the concept of “Beauty with a Conscience” since the beginning.
The recognition comes shortly after her recent showcase at London Fashion Week, where she highlighted the ethical and social impact of her brand in Nepal’s Himalayan communities (View Photogallery Here). Her collections are handcrafted using organic and innovative vegan fabrics by marginalized women artisans in Nepal. According to the brand, around 95 percent of the artisans involved are women who receive fair wages, skill development opportunities, and financial independence through their work (Watch Video Here).

Her latest achievement not only elevates her position in the international fashion industry but also brings pride to Nepal on the global stage.
