Sampada Ghimire, a 17-year-old, has been named Miss Universe Nepal 2024. She stood out among 21 other contestants and will represent Nepal at the 73rd Miss Universe event in Mexico this November.
The Miss Universe Nepal 2024 pageant, organized by Global Glamor Venture, was a big event with contestants from many different jobs, including doctors, engineers, pilots, and even people with hearing disabilities. This made the competition special and inclusive. Sampada, who works in digital marketing for an American company, plans to focus on discussions and raising awareness about protecting wildlife.
The final event took place at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center, where National Director Sangita Puri placed the crown, adorned with gold and diamonds, on Sampada’s head. Smriti Singh was the First Runner Up, Akshita Chhetri was the Second Runner Up, Karren Eva Murray came in Third, and Sujal Bam was Fourth.
There were also several sub-title winners. Karren Eva Murray won Hilton Miss Elegance, Smriti Singh was named TVS Miss Smart, Samriddhi KC earned WOW Miss Free and Fearless, Shreeyanka Thapa became Global IME Miss Eco-Friendly, and Karren Eva Murray also won D’Cosmo Miss Most Beautiful Skin. Other notable winners included Smriti Singh as X-age Miss Photogenic, Asmi Dhakal as Miss Multimedia, and Renata Kattel as Miss Friendly.
International trainers Alexander Gonzalez and Louis Portelles helped prepare the contestants for local and international stages. National Choreographer Dikpal Karki added flair to the event, celebrating beauty, talent, and inclusivity.
