Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently busy in filming his war drama ‘Battle of Galwan’ and here is great news for Nepali fans. Popular Nepali singer and actor Prashant Tamang has joined the cast of the film, alongside actor Anoop Bikram Shahi, who plays the villain in the movie.

Prashant Tamang shared his excitement through a Facebook post, revealing his participation with a picture from the film set at Film City, Goregaon, Mumbai. “Something is happening now. I’m really excited. Thank you, Salman Khan,” he wrote. In the photo, Anoop Bikram Shahi can also be seen beside him, hinting at a strong Nepali presence in the film.

The film produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. ‘Battle of Galwan’ is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films for 2026. The movie is inspired by the real-life border clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley on June 15, 2020. Salman Khan plays the role of an Indian Army officer, portraying courage, sacrifice, and leadership in extreme conditions.

According to Indian media source, the film’s second shooting phase is currently underway in Mumbai, after an extreme 45-day schedule in the high-altitude region of Ladakh. Salman Khan has called this one of his most physically demanding films, involving heavy action sequences and emotional.

For Nepali audiences, the addition of Prashant Tamang, winner of Indian Idol Season 3, adds a special connection. Prashant has built a strong fan base in Nepal and India, with successful music albums and Nepali cinema. His Bollywood appearance marks another proud moment for Nepali artists making their mark internationally.

Meanwhile, Anoop Bikram Shahi, known for his powerful performances in Nepali films, is set to play a significant negative role. His inclusion adds another layer of excitement for Nepali fans following the crossover success of their stars in Bollywood.
