In a heartwarming moment on Bigg Boss 19 , Weekend Ka Vaar, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan broke his silence on his long-rumored fallout with singer Arijit Singh, calling him a ‘very good friend’ and admitting that the misunderstanding was ‘from my side.’
The candid confession came during a lighthearted chat with comedian Ravi Gupta, who appeared as a guest on the show. When Ravi joked, ‘I was nervous to meet you because I look like Arijit Singh,’ Salman laughed and surprised everyone with his candid reply.
‘Arijit and I are very good friends. The misunderstanding was from my side. After that, he sang songs for me in Tiger, and now he’s singing in Galwan.’
(Arijit aur main bahut acche dost hai. Jo misunderstanding thi, meri side se thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger mein kiya tha, ab Galwan mein kar raha hai.)
His statement confirmed that all is well between the two, putting an end to years of speculation about their relationship.
The Rift That Once Made Headlines
The Salman-Arijit misunderstanding dates back to an award function in 2014, where Arijit, casually dressed in slippers, came to receive his award. Salman playfully asked if he had been sleeping, to which Arijit replied, “You guys put me to sleep.” The comment reportedly offended Salman, sparking rumors that he removed Arijit’s songs from several projects, including Kick and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
In 2016, Arijit publicly apologized through a heartfelt Facebook post, even requesting Salman to keep his version of a song in Sultan, but the song was later replaced.

Things finally improved when Arijit Singh lent his soulful voice to Le Ke Prabhu Ka Naam in Tiger 3 (2023), their first collaboration in nearly a decade and now according to Salman, Arjit is singing for Salman’s new movie ‘Battle of Galwan’
