The internationally reputed World Book of Records London has honored Rojin Shakya with a Certificate of Excellence, recognizing him as a senior choreographer in Nepal’s fashion, pageantry, and modeling industry. The recognition celebrates his excellence in the art of movement and the power of speech, acknowledging his ability to bridge the gap between performance and presentation through refined stage choreography and impactful communication. The honor was presented during the 20th International Summit & Award Ceremony organized by the World Book of Records in Kathmandu on April 30, 2026, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished professional journey.
Rojin Shakya is widely recognized as a multifaceted professional whose career spans more than two decades across the fields of fashion choreography, pageantry training, event hosting, television media, voice artistry, fashion journalism, and professional education. As a national and international fashion choreographer, event emcee, media personality, voice-over artist, fashion journalist, and trainer/educator, he has built a reputation for versatility, creativity, and leadership within Nepal’s fashion and entertainment sectors while also contributing to international platforms.
A defining feature of his career is his extensive work in event choreography and stage production. Over the years, Shakya has choreographed and coordinated nearly 1,400 events, including more than 300 fashion shows and numerous beauty pageants ranging from community-level programs to international productions.
His responsibilities encompass overall event aesthetics, runway movement, stage coordination, and contestant grooming, ensuring professional and artistic excellence in every presentation. His work has significantly contributed to the evolution and professionalization of Nepal’s fashion show culture and pageantry standards.
Beyond domestic events, he has been actively involved in several prestigious international fashion and pageant platforms, including Miss Mermaid Singapore, Heritage Pageants, the international fashion competition Model Superstar, and Miss Tamang World. He also served as the official choreographer for Mrs. Nepal Australia 2025, further expanding his professional reach within the global Nepali community and strengthening Nepal’s representation in the international fashion and pageantry arena.

His professional contributions have been recognized through numerous national and international awards. Among the earliest was the International Prestige Brand Award (2018) where he received Best Entrepreneur in Multi-Task Personality of the Year. In 2019, he was honored with the National Youth Lead Award as Mr. Versatile of the Year in Kathmandu. The same year, he received the Outstanding International Choreographer Excellence Award at the International Excellence Award and the International Professional Fashion Choreographer Achievement Award at the International Professional Achievement Award.
His achievements within Nepal’s fashion fraternity were further recognized when he was honored as Legendary Fashion Choreographer at the Pageant Nepal Fashion and Model Award in Kathmandu in 2019. In 2020, he received the Best International Nepalese Fashion Choreographer title at the Fashion fare Award, along with the Best Fashion Choreographer Award at the Model Songs Award. Alongside his fashion career, Shakya has built a strong presence in television media, with 24 years of experience as a presenter, producer, and media professional. He began his broadcasting career with Channel Nepal and NTV Plus. For the past 17 years, he has been associated with Image Channel Television, where he has served as a newsreader and coordinator for Nepal Bhasa news, contributing significantly to the preservation and promotion of Nepal Bhasa, the mother tongue of the Newar community.
Equally notable is his career as a professional event emcee and stage host. Since 1998, he has hosted approximately 1,700 events at local, regional, national, and international levels. His hosting portfolio includes fashion shows, beauty pageants, television reality shows, talk shows, musical and cultural programs, award ceremonies, corporate functions, conferences, and outdoor events. Known for his articulate communication style and commanding stage presence, he remains one of Nepal’s most respected and sought-after event hosts.
Shakya has also made significant contributions to academia and professional training. Since 2010, he has been associated with Namuna College of Fashion Technology, teaching Personal Presentation, Fashion Journalism, and Fashion Show Production. As a faculty member at the International Institute of Fashion Technology and Kathmandu Academy of Tourism and Hospitality, he has continued as an educator for subjects.
His commitment to personality development and professional grooming extends to aviation training institutions, where he has worked with Flytech International Airhostess Training Academy and Nepal Airhostess Academy, training aspiring aviation professionals in communication skills, professional etiquette, confidence building, and personality enhancement.
