Nikhil Upreti’s stunt at shooting spot of ‘Bhairab’ draws crowd; Highway disrupted briefly


Nikhil-Upreti-in-New-LooksGlamour Nepal, Kathmandu: Crowds have gathered near Area Police Office Nawalpur which created a traffic jam at the East-West Highway. This is neither a local protest, nor any political demonstration. The crowd is drawn by the actor Nikhil Upreti who reached there during the course of shooting of the movie ‘Bhairab’. The crowd led to the disruption of the traffic flow at the Highway for some time. A large number of crowds have thronged to the shooting spot to see the stunt of film actor Nikhil who is being seen in the movie after a long gap. Nikhil is himself directing the movie in his own home district Sarlahi. The story of ‘Bhairab’ is said to be based on the issues of politics and crime at Terai area. Most of the parts of the movie will be shot at Sarlahi.

Senior actor Muralidhar is going to be the main villain of the movie. According to the plot, he is the weapon dealer who promotes crime in the society also by using his political influence. The use of guns and bombs in the movie shooting is excessive. Nikhil can be seen in the movie as a police inspector under a special squad to eliminate the crimes pervasive in the Terai region. He has Police cut hair style in the movie.

“The police squad under my leadership has come here to take action against those criminals who are on the arm trade even by using the political influence,” elaborated Nikhil about the scene that was going to be shot, adding, “That’s why the shooting is also in the police office. Almost 40 percent shooting is completed.” The shooting is also in the border area settlement. Muralidhar, who lives in India, said that he was happy to appear in the Nepali movie. He also said that he was impressed with the story of the movie which prompted him to play on the Nikhil’s movie.

Nikhil said that his desire to shoot a movie in his home district was now fulfilled. “As the story is of Terai, it was appropriate to shoot here. The flavor of Terai can be felt in the movie,” Nikhil said.
