The journey from walking on the runway himself being a model to make others walk being a model mentor popularly called as choreographer, Surex Manandhar is a name that is very familiar in the modeling scene of Nepal. Been one of the popular model of his days for his looks, body, tall figure and long hair, Surex Manandhar is equally been appreciated as a choreographer too. The man is been in the field since 19 years and has walked through number fashion shows and endorsed various brand as a commercial model. To identify a few of them are Nepal’s first and foremost San Miguel Beer, Carlsberg beer, Nabico and Hotel Soaltee crown plaza.
His journey started in the show choreography through ‘Miss Pokhara 1997’ as a Co-Choreographer and this tour went on and on not only in Nepal but also at India, Europe and Dubai where he worked both as a model and a Choreographer. He was been associated with Nepal’s Premier modeling agency called ‘The Ramp Modeling Agency’ as a model trainer and Choreographer. Currently he is been working as a model & Choreographer in the United States. Out there he is associated with Alabama fashion alliance and Silver water talent agency as a choreographer and a runway model. Furthermore, he has also worked for international brand like KOHLS, GAP and Status for Men. He was also been associated with Miss Nepal USA 2014 as an official choreographer for the pageant.
Finding the keen interest of locals and Nepalese Americans to see themselves in the field of modeling and fashion, the man hopes to put his experience and passion of his in the field so far, plans to start a model training institute in future, where the new comers would be trained related to runway walk, poise, public speaking, personality development, communication skills, body language and many more to shape an ordinary looking girl or a guy to a stylish and stunning personality.
