The Hidden Treasure has officially opened applications for Miss Nepal 2026. The announcement was made during a press conference held at The Plaza in Pulchowk on Wednesday.
Organizers have invited aspiring Nepali women living both in Nepal and abroad to participate in this year’s competition. The application deadline has been set for May 25 (June 8 internationally), and the registration process will remain free of charge.
The grand finale of Miss Nepal 2026 is scheduled to take place on August 1 at The Plaza, Pulchowk, and will be broadcast live on Himalaya Television.
This year, winners will be crowned in three major categories — Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Cosmo, and Miss Nepal International. Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old with a minimum height requirement of 5 feet 3 inches.
Organizers also confirmed that Nepali women residing abroad can apply using an NRN card issued by Nepal’s Home Ministry.
Auditions will be held in Biratnagar, Itahari, Butwal, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, and Janakpur. In addition, a “Miss Nepal Activation” campaign will be organized across 10 colleges in Kathmandu. The final audition round is scheduled for June 9 in Kathmandu.
Selected contestants will undergo intensive grooming, personality development, and training sessions before the grand finale.
This year’s edition will also introduce a major format change. According to The Hidden Treasure director Pramod Kansakar, the question-answer segment for the Top 30 contestants has been removed. Only the Top 5 finalists will now participate in the final Q&A round.
The organizers also shared updates on Nepal’s recent achievements in international pageants. Current Miss Nepal World Luna Luintel is set to represent Nepal at Miss World 2026. Likewise, Urusha Bhandari, Sony Ghale, and Deepshikha Nepal have represented Nepal in major international beauty pageants over the past year.
The official theme for this year’s competition is “Top of the World.” Kajaria Ramesh Tiles Limited has joined as the title sponsor, while Shree Natraj Jewellers continues as the co-sponsor and crown partner.
