
Tamang Women Celebrate Beauty, Identity and Leadership on the Pageant Stage.
Sabita Tamang from Ruby Valley Rural Municipality, Dhading, has been crowned Miss Mhendomaya Beauty Queen 2026, taking home the prestigious title along with a cash prize of NPR 50,000.
The grand finale of the Tamang beauty pageant celebrated confidence, cultural identity, talent, and leadership among young Tamang women. Sabita impressed the judges and audience with her grace, warmth, and composed presence throughout the competition. Along with the main crown, she also received the Miss Congeniality subtitle.
Representing Kispang Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, Jenisha Tamang was declared First Runner-up and received NPR 30,000. Jenisha stood out as one of the strongest contestants of the evening, winning three subtitles: Miss Best Walk, Public Choice, and Viewer’s Choice.
Purnima Ghalan Tamang from Likhu Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, secured the Second Runner-up position and received NPR 20,000. She was also honored with the subtitle Miss Radiant.
Representing Netrawati Dabjong Rural Municipality, Dhading, Rachana Tamang was announced as Third Runner-up and received NPR 10,000. Her confident performance also earned her the Miss Confidence title.
The pageant also recognized contestants in several special categories. Umiko Tamang won both Miss Charming and Miss Photogenic, while Lidiya Tamang received Miss Diligent and Miss Talent. Kabina Waiba was awarded Miss Personality and the prestigious Organizer’s Choice title.

The event was organized by BSK Active Nepal Production Pvt. Ltd. under the leadership of its President, Surya Mamba Tamang. The grand finale was chaired by Pasang Lama, while Hon. Radhika Tamang, Member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, attended as the Chief Guest.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Radhika Tamang praised the organizers for creating a meaningful platform that celebrates the beauty, confidence, cultural identity, and leadership potential of Tamang women.
The evening also featured artistic performances by the contestants, with dance choreography by MB Gurung. The overall pageant choreography and stage direction were handled by renowned fashion choreographer and media personality Rojin Shakya, who also hosted the grand finale with his signature professionalism and engaging stage presence.
The judging panel included respected Mhendo Maya singer Sagar S. Waiba, acclaimed film director Raj King Waiba, actress Chandani Moktan, and popular singer Lek Yonjan. Contestants were evaluated on confidence, communication skills, personality, talent, cultural representation, stage presence, and overall performance.
The event management was led by Bikram Lama, while Dolma Waiba Tamang served as the event coordinator, ensuring the smooth execution of the pageant from beginning to finale.
