Tejalya, meaning “the one who shines,” is a couture creation inspired by Newari culture and the theme “SURAMYA PAHIRAN.” The design features a dramatic mermaid balloon skirt in Burnt Mahogany Banarasi fabric, layered for volume and movement. The upper silhouette includes a skin-colored net bodysuit with a paisley-structured top, adorned with beads, sequins, stones, and dabka. A plaster and clay headpiece, inspired by Luswa and peacock elements, is embellished with vibrant stones. The feather-like feature beneath the skirt, illuminated with SMD lights, symbolizes feminine strength. The look is completed with bold makeup, teardrop earrings, and embellished cuffs, celebrating heritage and modern artistry.
