Japan has become a significant destination for Nepali cinema, where films such as ‘Kabaddi 4’ and ‘Premgeet 3’ have received positive reception. The latest addition to this trend is the highly-anticipated film ‘2.0 Chhadke’, starring Anmol KC. The film will be premiered at Nakano Zero Hall in Tokyo on March 5th and will also be shown in other 20 cities across Japan including Osaka, Nagoya, Gunma, Shizuoka, Fukuyama and Sendai.
Sachin Acharya, who brought the rights of the film for Japan, stated that there is a lot of excitement and anticipation for the release of the “2.0 Chhadke” and he predicts that it will do even better than the Kabaddi 4. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring that the Nepali communities living in Japan have access to the film, saying, “My effort is to ensure that even the smallest community can watch the film.”
The film is being produced by Kavre Films, with Prashant Giri and Dev Kumar Shrestha serving as the producers, and Nirvana Film School and Laxman Kafle as the executive producers. The film features Robin Tamang, Kamal Mani Nepal, Devu Shrestha, Srijana Limbu, Resha Ale Magar, Ian Climent, Nigam Shrestha, and more.
The film ‘2.0 Chhadke’, which is a gangster genre, is gaining attention for its recent release of an intriguing poster, featuring Anmol KC as the leader of a gang. The poster gives a glimpse of the different characters and their personalities through the depiction of their tattoos, clothing, and motorcycles.
‘2.0 Chhadke’ is the sequel to the trailblazing Nepali film ‘Chhadke’, which was released in 2013 and is considered a landmark in the Nepali film industry. Director Nigam Shrestha is expected to bring another groundbreaking film with ‘2.0 Chhadke’, which will hit theaters on March 3, 2023 (2079 Falgun 19).
