Glamour Nepal, Kathmandu: Rekha Thapa’s ‘Himmatwali’ has succeeded in drawing a large number of audiences in the theaters on the day of movie’s release. Himmatwali, the movie directed, produced and acted by Rekha Thapa, was released today in approx 90 theaters across the country. According to the film unit, almost all of the theaters were full of the audiences in the first day of the show.
The movie was released making Dashai Fulpati as the special occasion.
Rekha Thapa and Sudarshan Gautam also watched the first show of the movie at Gopikrishna Hall on the first show at 11 AM. A large number of audiences have thronged Gopikrishna which has a capacity of around 600 plus seats. Many people had to return due to the shortage of the movie tickets in the first show while many other waited for the next show.
The audiences have rounded up the actor duo Rekha and Sudarshan after watching the movie to give their feedbacks and get pictured with them who went there to watch the first show with the audiences. Rekha, who has already brought some hit movies under her own banner Rekha Films, puts Himmatwali in the top of the list of her films.
Sudarshan, who is physically challenged, has, however, challenged the public perception that ‘disability is the incapacity’ while Rekha has presented herself in the movies as a daring and action lady. The movie has not brought together these two actors romancing in the reel life of the movie; they have also admitted that they are having affairs in the real life too.
Though the audience turnout on the release day of the movie is encouraging to Rekha, it is yet to see how the public will respond the movie in the days to come.
