Yubi Thapa Couture Collection Showcased in Adelaide, Australia

Yubi Thapa, one of the celebrated and highest-paid fashion designers of the Nepalese fashion fraternity, Thapa has recently showcased his latest couture collection in Adelaide, Australia, the very first fashion show presented by the Nepalese community. The show named ‘The Boutiques’ had various international designers while Yubi was from Nepal. His collection had popular Nepalese movie star, Swostima Khadka as the show stopper. The show was been graced by Hon. Jing Lee, the Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Parliament of South Australia.

Yubi, the noted fashion designer has received the award of Best Costume Designer for the movie called Intu Mintu London ma in the 10th NEFTA Film Awards 2021. Earlier he received the best Costume Designer award for the movie ‘Prem Geet’ at the 9th NEFTA Film Awards held in Dubai in the year 2016. As a Costume designer in Nepali movies, his works have been seen in movies like Prem Geet 1 & 2, Bir Bikram, Kri, A Mero Hajur 2, Intu Mintu London Ma, Happy Days, etc.

Starting the journey as a student designer at Namuna College of Fashion Technology, NCFT, Yubi Thapa is the 10th batch of graduating students of NCFT. Yubi today is not only an individual he has been a brand name for Nepalese fashionistas. He is the CEO and lead designer at his label called YUBI THAPA, popularly known for exquisite designs adorned by almost all the top-notch Nepali celebrities of different fields.

With his exclusive clothing brand label ‘YUBI THAPA’ since 2011, the style-preneur Yubi is more known for his specialties in the gown, lehenga, bridal and modern dresses. His creativity has garnered acclaim domestically in TGIF Nepal Fashion Week and various other fashion events. He has also showcased his spectacular collections internationally as well. From New York to Australia, Hong Kong to UK, the man has been able to be the show-stealer through his fabulous creations and designs.
