The Nepalese beauty Dr. Sareesha Shrestha, Miss Nepal Earth 2022 has been successful in the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant held in the Philippines. The lady was victorious at Best Eco Video Award in the continental group from Asia & Oceania. The award-winning eco video reflects the challenges of the environmental scene in Nepal because of unmanaged waste and garbage, pollution, unplanned urbanization, etc. The video also deals with endangered fauna, and the Himalayas ice melting due to environmental pollution.
The finale of Miss Earth 2022 was been hosted by Okada Manila in Paranaque, Metro Manila, Philippines which saw more than eighty global beauties competing for the major title award of the event. The finale saw South Korea’s Mina Sue Choi crowned Miss Earth 2022 and became the first Korean to bag Miss Earth award. Among the other elemental queens of the event, Sheridan Mortlock of Australia was elected as Miss Air 2022, Nadeen Ayoub of Palestine as Miss Water 2022, and Andrea Aguilera of Colombia as Miss Fire 2022.
