Actor Salin Man Bania is preparing for his big-screen comeback through the Movie ‘University of Gundas’ (UOG). Ever since the film’s announcement and first look reveal, one question has been dominating audience curiosity, who is the actress starring opposite Salin Man Bania this time?
According to the production team, Nepali-Japanese beauty Meena Yoshida Gurung has been signed as the female lead in the film. Produced under the banner of Sanvi Entertainment, the movie will feature Salin Man and Meena together in a romantic pairing for the first time.
Meena Yoshida Gurung comes from a mixed cultural background, with a Nepali father and a Japanese mother. She is currently based in Japan, and although the production team has officially confirmed her casting, they have intentionally kept further details about her acting background and personal profile under wraps. This mystery surrounding her entry has already created excitement among movie fans and social media users.
The buzz around ‘University of Gundas’ increased significantly after the release of its first-look teaser a few weeks ago. The teaser video hinted at a youthful, stylish, and intense cinematic experience, different from the recent trend of mainstream Nepali films. Salin Man’s bold look and presentation in the first look also received positive reactions from audiences online.
Another major highlight of the project is that the story has been written by Salin Man Bania himself. The film is being directed by Suresh Neupane, while actor Salon Basnet will also be seen in a key role alongside Salin Man and Meena.
So far, the makers have not revealed the complete cast and technical team of the project. Industry insiders believe the production team is carefully observing audience reactions to the first look before officially announcing the movie’s release date.
A fresh pairing and Salin Man’s return to the screen, University of Gundas is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about upcoming Nepali films.
