Nepal’s legendary actor Mahanayak Rajesh Hamal has officially launched his long awaited autobiography ‘Yugdekhi Yugsamma’, marking a major milestone in his illustrious 35 year journey in Nepali cinema.
The grand launch event in Kathmandu saw Hamal and his spouse Madhu Bhattarai jointly unveiling the book alongside writer duo Yangesh Shah and Buddhi Sagar. The 293-page autobiography, published by FinePrint Publications, has been crafted based in a dialogue with journalist Yangesh, making it an engaging conversation that reflects both nostalgia and introspection.
In Yugdekhi Yugsamma (translated as From One Era to Another) Hamal opens up about the chapters of his life that fans have long been curious about. From his early childhood and education to the heights of stardom and beyond, the book takes readers through the emotional, artistic, and philosophical dimensions of Nepal’s most celebrated actor.

Speaking at the event, Hamal shared,’Some of my untold stories have been featured in the book. We managed to unveil this book in three years of its inception. It covers politics, religion, and some psychological aspects too.’
