Niti Shah Appointed Brand Ambassador of Nepal Telecom
Popular Nepali model and actress Niti Shah has been appointed a brand ambassador for Nepal Telecom, adding one of the country’s most recognisable fashion and entertainment personalities to the telecom company’s promotional lineup. The partnership is expected to strengthen Nepal Telecom’s brand visibility, particularly among younger audiences, while supporting the promotion of its services in Nepal and among Nepalis abroad.
Nepal Telecom appointed Shah on September 10, 2026, corresponding to Bhadra 25, 2083. Managing Director Sangita Pahadi (Aryal) and Shah signed the brand ambassador agreement during a programme organised by the company.
Under the agreement, Shah will participate in campaigns promoting Nepal Telecom’s services and facilities as well as activities aimed at strengthening the company’s overall brand. Nepal Telecom said her role will include communicating its services not only to customers within Nepal but also to Nepali customers living abroad.
Entertainment Meets Cricket in Nepal Telecom’s New Brand Strategy
Shah joins Nepal national cricket team player Kushal Bhurtel, who had already been appointed a Nepal Telecom brand ambassador on Shrawan 20, 2083.
By bringing together personalities from two highly visible fields – cricket and entertainment, the company is widening the audience represented by its celebrity partnerships. Previous campaigns generally featured an individual or personalities from the same field, while the current lineup combines figures from separate sectors.
Speaking at the appointment programme, Managing Director Pahadi said collaborations with established personalities from sports and entertainment were expected to deepen Nepal Telecom’s relationship with young people as well as the wider public.
She also expressed confidence that the partnerships would contribute to strengthening the company’s public image, supporting business promotion and bringing new energy to the marketing of its services.
The newly appointed ambassadors, meanwhile, expressed their pride and excitement at being associated with the major domestically invested telecommunications company and committed themselves to supporting its brand image, service promotion and marketing activities.

From Fashion and Pageants to Nepali Cinema
Shah has been a familiar face in Nepal’s fashion industry for years. In 2017, she was crowned Miss International Nepal and went on to represent Nepal at the Miss International 2017 pageant in Japan.
Even before her pageant success, she had built a profile through modelling assignments, fashion shows and appearances on Nepali fashion and lifestyle magazine covers.
After establishing herself in modelling, Shah moved into acting. She made her Nepali feature film debut with “Khajure Bro” in 2024 and subsequently appeared in films including “Jwai Saab” and “Narasimha Avatar.”
Not Her First Major Brand Endorsement
The Nepal Telecom partnership also adds to Shah’s growing commercial portfolio.
In December 2022, smartphone company realme appointed Shah as its brand ambassador in Nepal. Her endorsement portfolio at the time covered realme and Narzo products as well as products in the company’s wider ecosystem.
Nepal Telecom itself has a history of working with prominent entertainment personalities. Actress Swastima Khadka was appointed its brand ambassador in 2025, while celebrated acting duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansha Acharya, popularly known as Maha Jodi, had previously represented the company.
Nepal Telecom, formally Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited, describes itself as the country’s government-owned telecom operator and provides mobile, fixed-line, internet and other digital telecommunications services across Nepal.
For Shah, the partnership represents another high-profile endorsement alongside her work in fashion and cinema. For Nepal Telecom, her strong visibility across fashion, entertainment and younger digital audiences offers another channel through which the company can communicate its services and brand identity.
The duration and financial value of Shah’s new agreement have not been disclosed in the official announcement or the publicly available reports reviewed for this story
