Newa Maincha Baucha 1146 Announces Winners with Grand Celebration

Newa Maincha Baucha 1146 wrapped up with a lively celebration of Newar culture, announcing Anusiya Manandhar and Nirvesh Shrestha as winners. The event highlighted tradition, talent and community pride under the banner of Kalash Events at Rastriya Naachghar, Jamal.


The cultural pageant “Newa Maincha Baucha 1146”, an event dedicated to celebrating and revitalizing the Newar community’s distinct identity, language, script, and long-preserved traditions, concluded with an enthusiastic display of talent and heritage. In the Newa Maincha category, Anusiya Manandhar emerged as the overall winner, while Samana Maharjan not only secured the main title but also earned the Multimedia Award, and Nerisha Maharjan took the position of second runner-up.

Likewise, in the Newa Baucha division, Nirvesh Shrestha achieved the championship alongside the Personality Award, with Atharva Pradhan becoming the first runner-up and Anam Darshi Bajracharya finishing as the second runner-up.

The event was held with the gracious patronage of renowned artist Naradevi Pradhan and was organized under the banner of Kalash Events, headed by Executive Chairperson Sanjay Maharjan and Managing Director Barsha Maharjan. Staged on the platform of Rastriya Naachghar, Jamal, the competition was shaped through the choreography of Rohiya Maharjan, complemented by the dance direction of Situ Maharjan and costume designs crafted by Dina Gurung of Dina’s Fashion House.

In the event Numerous participants were honored with special titles recognizing diverse strengths: Medhavi Tuladhar for Discipline, Unnati Bajracharya for Activeness, Nibha Maharjan for Academic Merit, Jaizbi Yachu Shrestha for Intelligence, Akila Shakya for Creativity, Siona Manandhar for Co-curricular Skills, Utsav Shrestha for Best Costume, Samriddhi Maharjan for Style Icon, Puwa Urja Tuladhar for Best Smile, Abhishek Shrestha for Attractiveness, Yuvani Maharjan for Excellence in Nepal Script, Aishna Maharjan for Leadership, Ardita Maharjan for Cultural Appreciation, Prasanna Maharjan for Talent, Sadichha Maharjan for Nepal Bhasa, and Aragya Tuladhar for Innocence.

The competition was evaluated by an experienced panel comprising academician Rameshwar Shrestha, model and actress Sristi Maharjan, singer Ujan Shakya, Raju Maharjan, founder principal of New Zenith English Modern School, and Lalima Shrestha, an expert in the Ranjana script, all of whom contributed to the fairness and depth of the judging process.
