Miss Little Newa 1145 Concludes, Suravi Bajracharya Takes the Crown

The 15th edition of Miss Little Newa 1145 concluded grandly in Kathmandu, with Suravi Bajracharya of Lalitpur winning the crown and celebrating Newar culture, tradition, and young talent.

The 15th edition of Miss Little Newa: 1145, a cultural and ethnic beauty pageant aimed at young girls from the Newar community, was successfully concluded with great splendor. Rooted in Newar language, traditional attire, and cultural heritage, the final round of the competition saw Suravi Bajracharya from Lalitpur emerge as the winner, taking home the prestigious title along with a cash prize of NPR 25,000.

Kristina Maharjan of Maitidevi, Kathmandu, claimed the First Runner-up position and also received the Talent Award, while Ripansi Shrestha from Kuleshwor, Kathmandu, was selected as the Second Runner-up. They were awarded cash prizes of NPR 15,000 and NPR 10,000 respectively.

The event was organized by Nepalese Fashion Home in collaboration with Fight for Life Nepal and was hosted at The Blue Pavilion, Exhibition Road. The program was presided over by Dr. Kishor Raj Pradhan, with Devkaji Dangol, President of RD Foundation, attending as the chief guest.

Contestants presented elegant and eye-catching outfits designed by student designers from Namuna College of Fashion Technology. The judging panel was headed by Manishree Ratna Bajracharya, former District Governor of Lions Club International 325, as the chief judge.

The panel also included Jeebeswor Lal Shrestha, Vice Principal of Namuna College of Fashion Technology; Advocate Laxman Maharjan; Dr. Shikshita Shrestha; Nepal Bhasa instructor and media personality Raju Napit; and Shantaman Maharjan, President of Jyapu Samaj Yala.

Miss Newa winners Sakina Maharjan, Pralisha Shakya and Social Ambassador Chief Timila Maharjan served as the choreographers for the program. The event was coordinated by former Miss Newa Krisha Maharjan.

As part of the event, Nayana Shakya an international-level skating athlete and the Talent Award winner of Miss Little Newa: 1141 was felicitated in recognition of her remarkable achievements.
