Kalo Pothi begins shooting in Mugu

The shooting of the film ‘Kalo Pothi’ based on the torture faced by children in Karnali region during the decade long conflict, has started in Mugu district. The story of the film has already received Rs 5.5 million and Rs 3.9 million from Vision South East Cinema Fund of Switzerland and World Cinema Fund respectively.

Write and director of the film Min Bahadur Bham informed that some two hundred artists will act in the film which shooting will conclude within a year.

Earlier, a team of artist and production unit including director Bham had reached Mugu some four months ago for field study of local language and culture.

The film has incorporated stories of children in Karkiwada and Kimri VDCS of the district. The film will also be shot in these two VDCs.

According to production unit, more than Rs 15 million has been estimated as the investment for the film. Actress Benisha Hamal left for Mugu with film unit before the Dashain festival.
