The trailer of one of Nepal’s most awaited films of the year, Hari Bahadur Ko Jutta, has finally been released. Directed by Dipendra K. Khanal, the film features an ensemble cast led by veteran comedy legend Hari Bansha Acharya.
The star studded lineup also includes Swastima Khadka, Prakash Saput, Priyanka Karki, Harihar Sharma, Divya Dev, Kiran KC, Rajaram Paudel, Dinesh Kafle, Sita Nyaopane, and Kamalmani Nepal. The film is set to hit cinemas nationwide on Phulpati, October 19 (Ashoj 13), perfectly timed for the Dashain festival.
The trailer blends humor with sharp political commentary, reflecting current socio-political issues in Nepal. Hari Bansha Acharya steps back into the shoes of his iconic character Hari Bahadur, one of the most beloved personas in Nepali television history. The story delves into Hari Bahadur’s personal struggles, generational conflicts, and the search for political change led by the youth.
Produced under the banner of SM Motion Pictures by Saroj Oli and Mohitbansh Acharya, the film promises a rich mix of satire, comedy, and social relevance. With cinematography by Krishna Bahadur Thapa and editing by Nakul Khadka, the film’s music features contributions from Basanta Sapkota, Deepak Sharma, and Prakash Saput. Vocals are provided by popular singers Ashish Aviral, Samikshya Adhikari, Mohitbansh Acharya, Samir Kharel, and Sajja Chaulagain.
With its timely themes and festival release, Hari Bahadur Ko Jutta is already being positioned as a box-office favorite this Dashain.
