The first look posters and teaser of the upcoming Nepali movie Baristha Balaram have been officially released. Directed by Surendra Poudel, the film stars two of Nepal’s most loved actors, Dayahang Rai and Vijay Baral in lead roles.
The makers launched two posters and one teaser together, creating buzz among audiences. In the first poster, Dayahang Rai is seen in a sharp red suit, holding a mobile phone with a fierce look, while Vijay Baral appears with a disappointed expression. The second poster features both leads alongside other cast members including Samriddhi Aryal, Maotse Gurung, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Pashupati Rai, and Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary.
The teaser offers a glimpse of the film’s tone, highlighting witty exchanges and tension between Dayahang and Vijay, which has already increased excitement among moviegoers.
Baristha Balaram is set to release nationwide on October 23, 2025 (Kartik 6, Tihar/Bhai Tika). Shot in Chitwan, the film is described as a social drama that reflects contemporary issues with a mix of humor and emotions.
This marks Surendra Poudel’s fourth directorial venture, following films like Aabash, Kri, and Babari. He has also edited the film himself. The story is written by Poudel, with screenplay by Mahesh Dawadi.
Produced under the banner of Brisav Siddhi Entertainments in association with Anvi Films, the film is produced by Ashish H. Tamang and Shree Raj Karki, with Pradeep G. Dhami and Pushkar B. Ghimire serving as executive producers.
The movie’s technical team includes Man Krishna Maharjan (cinematography), Prashant Shiwakoti and Bishesh Pandey (music), Samrat Shakya (action), and Pradeep Lama (dance choreography). Distribution will be handled by DCN in Kathmandu Valley and Kuber Cine Distribution outside the valley.
With its strong cast, intriguing posters, and engaging teaser, Baristha Balaram has already become one of the most awaited releases of the year.
