3rd Edition of the Fashionfare Awards 2024 emerged once again as one of the most prestigious platforms dedicated to celebrating excellence in fashion, glamour, pageantry, and the arts. The event was organized by Dream Search Agency and powered by Epicenter Education Consultants, with additional support from Aventoz, Spark Advertising, Manakamana Etching, The Malla Hotel as the Hospitality Partner, and Mane Muse by Shiwangi as the Makeup Partner. Held on August 31, 2025, at The Malla Hotel, Lainchaur, Kathmandu, the evening dazzled under the elegance of its hosts Rojin Shakya, Eri Tuladhar, and Deepmala KD who added vibrancy and warmth to the grand celebration.
The award ceremony paid tribute to a remarkable group of individuals for their contributions across various fields. Arnav Ban was celebrated with the Young Music Star Award for his inspiring musical journey and talent in contemporary Nepali music. Hakim Gurung received the Pioneer of the NepHop Movement Award for shaping the hip-hop culture of Nepal and influencing youth identity. Meanwhile, Deepmala KD was recognized with the Rising International Talent Award (Emceeing & Hosting) for her growing presence as a global host proudly representing Nepal on international stages.
Adding to the line-up of honorees, Palesha Goverdhan, Paralympic medalist, was presented with the Excellence in Para Taekwondo Award (Pride of Nepal) for her unwavering contribution to sports and for elevating Nepal’s pride on the world stage. Pradeep Raj Onta, senior photojournalist at RSS and President of NFPJ Nepal, received the Outstanding Achievement Award (Photojournalism) for his leadership and storytelling excellence. In the grooming and pageantry sector, Rachana Gurung Sharma was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award (Grooming & Styling) for her pioneering role in raising the standards of stage presence and personality development.
In the beauty and fashion domain, Sneh Rana was celebrated with the Lifetime Achievement Award (Makeup) for her trailblazing work in makeup artistry and decades-long influence in the industry. Shiwangi Pradhan, a renowned fashion visionary, was presented with the Lifetime Contribution to Nepali Fashion Award for her role in defining the modern identity of Nepali fashion. Eva Giri was recognized with the Fashion Content Creator Award for her bold creativity and strong digital influence, while Anoop Bikram Shahi, celebrated model and actor, earned the title of Fashion Icon of the Year for his versatility and long-standing impact.
The awards also spotlighted inclusivity and advocacy. Parakram Rana was honored with the LGBTQIA+ Changemaker Award for his fearless authenticity and role in advancing LGBTQIA+ visibility. The Miss Nepal North America Organization – USA was recognized with the Global Event Excellence Award for its consistent dedication to organizing one of the most prestigious international pageants representing Nepal and its diaspora. Angel Lama, Nepal’s trailblazing transgender beauty queen, was awarded the Trailblazer in Inclusive Pageantry & Advocacy Award for her inspiring journey and contributions to social inclusion and sustainable fashion.
In pageantry leadership, Subarna Chhetri was presented the Prominent National Director Award for his outstanding commitment and vision, while Anila Shrestha received the Empowering Woman of the Year Award for her impactful work in pageantry and social development. Celebrated poet and novelist Usha Sherchan was awarded the Voice of Empowerment Award (Literature & Identity) for her fearless writings exploring gender, identity, and social justice. Additionally, The Malla Hotel was honored with the Excellence in Hospitality Award for its enduring service and contribution to premium event hospitality.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the honoring of Sanyukta Shrestha – UK with the Global Sustainable Fashion Leadership Award. A pioneer in ethical luxury and sustainability, Sanyukta has redefined bridal wear through eco-conscious materials and socially empowering design practices, setting a global standard in sustainable fashion.
Beyond the honorary categories, the Fashionfare Awards also recognized competitive brilliance in Nepal’s evolving fashion and pageantry sector. This year’s emerging winners included Nyima Dolkar as Emerging Fashion Model of the Year, Sumi Baniya as Emerging Fashion Choreographer of the Year, Razan Shah as Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year (Male), and Cla Rai (Sheela Rai) as Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year (Female). Sanskriti Bhatta was named Emerging Pageant Star of the Year, while Bikash Parajuli earned the title of Fashion Photographer of the Year. In the mainstream categories, Kashis Subba was celebrated as Fashion Model of the Year and Sonam Subba Limbu as Fashion Designer of the Year. Finally, Bieva Basnet was recognized as the Emerging Mrs. Pageant Star of the Year.
