The premiere beauty pageant of Nepal, Miss Nepal pageant is opened for its new edition. This year the grandest beauty pageant of the domestic scene, The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal would be celebrating its Silver Jubilee edition. Miss Nepal was premiered back in the year 1994 on September 20th marking the Silver Jubilee celebration of Kathmandu Jaycees.
As per the information shared during official announcement of Miss Nepal 2019, the interested candidates applying for the pageant must be ages between 19 to 25 years of age, should be minimum five foot and four inches height, single, unmarried, never given birth and never engaged. The applicant should be minimum plus two or equivalent education. She should be a Nepali Citizen holding Nepali Passport. The NRN’s meeting these mentioned criteria are also encouraged to apply for the pageant.
The auditions would be conducted in the major cities of Nepal. As per schedule auditions at Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Butwal and Pokhara would take place from 13th March to 15th March 2019. Likewise auditions at Chitwan, Birgunj, Dharan and Birtamod would take place from March 17th to March 19th 2019. The final auditions would take place in Kathmandu on 24th March 2019. The grand finale of the event is scheduled for 9th of May 2019 in Kathmandu.
After the final audition session twenty to twenty five candidates are expected to be shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates will go through an intensive seven week long training. The rigorous and life changing grooming session would majorly be handled by Choreographer Rachana Gurung Sharma. Glamour Photographer Raj Bhai Suwal would take the charge of photography while former Miss Nepal Earth Roshani Khatri would be playing role of Activation Coordinator for the event. The wardrobe designer for the event would be Sushma Singh from Women’s Planet, Ashutosh Aggarwal from Natraj the boutique and fashion designer Manish Rai.
The press meet of The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2019 was also graced by Miss Nepal World 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada, Miss Nepal Universe 2018 Manita Devkota, Miss Nepal Earth 2018 Priya Sigdel, Miss Nepal International 2018 Ronali Amatya and Miss Nepal Supranational 2018 Mahima Singh. The beauties shared their experience being the part of Miss Nepal 2018, their journey at respective international pageants, experience and achievements.
As mentioned in the press meet, the finals of Miss Nepal 2019 would have the winners of Miss Nepal Oceania, Miss Hong Kong Nepal, Miss Purwanchal, Miss Pokhara, Miss Paschimanchal and Miss Chitwan as the direct placement in the competition as being affiliated to Miss Nepal pageant. As per this the winner of Miss Nepal Oceania 2018 Anushka Shrestha, Miss Hong Kong Nepal 2018 Priya Gurung, Miss Purwanchal 2018 Pooja Shrestha and Miss Pokhara 2018 Sara Bajimaya have secured their spots at Miss Nepal 2019.
Other than Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Universe, Miss Nepal Earth and Miss Nepal International, this year Miss Nepal Supranational would also be chosen to represent Nepal at respective international pageants. Besides these the event would also sort out the winners in the categories like Miss Talent, Miss Intellectual, Miss Fascino, Miss Friendship, Miss Best Hair, Miss Confident and others.
