Anushka Shrestha wins silver jubilee edition of Miss Nepal Pageant

Anushka Shrestha won the title award of silver jubilee edition of Miss Nepal Pageant and was crowned as Miss Nepal World 2019.

Anushka Shrestha won the title award of silver jubilee edition of Miss Nepal Pageant and was crowned as Miss Nepal World 2019. In the event Anushka did took away the awards called Miss Intellectual and Yamaha Miss Fascino. Anushka Shrestha is 23 years of age and Commerce graduate with an experience of working at one of the biggest financial institutions in Australia CBA (Commonwealth Bank of Australia). She graduated from the Australian Catholic University in Sydney with the Executive Dean’s Commendation in 2017.

She has worked within the International Education sector in Sydney as a Finance Officer as well. Anushka stands Five feet five inches and was also earlier crowned as Miss Nepal Oceania 2018.

It was a mesmerizing scene to see twenty five beautiful finalists of silver jubilee edition of The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2019 walked down on the glamorous stage set up all being dressed in the golden colored Knee length one piece designed by Sushma Singh.

The lovely ladies brought the life on the huge set up made at the premises of Laboratory Higher Secondary School, Kirtipur. This is the very first time not only in the history of Miss Nepal pageant but as also in the pageantry history of Nepal, a beauty pageant being showcased at the premises of Laboratory Higher Secondary School.

The introductory round of the event was executed with the pre-recorded introduction script of each contestant. The contestants gave their individual performance within the time period of the script.

The second round came up with the beautiful saris from Natraj Boutique. The contestants made their graceful appearance with elegant moods and styles. The round disclosed the winners of six of the sub titles and short-listed fourteen semi-finalists out of twenty five contestants of the Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2019.

The top 14 of the competition were Sophiya Bhujel, Rose Lama, Rakchya Upreti, Subekshya Adhikari, Nitika Karmacharya, Jenny Maharjan, Shiwani Ghimire, Pratha Adhikari, Anushka Shrestha, Pradipta Adhikari, Meera Kakchapati, Nisha Pathak, Nancy Bogati and Reeya Basnet.

After the question answer session the final seven of the competition were announced. The final 7 included Anushka Shrestha, Rakchya Upreti, Rose Lama, Pradipta Adhikari, Sophiya Bhujel, Reeya Basnet and Meera Kakshapati who were dressed in lovely evening gowns designed by Manish Rai.

They all faced the final question put forwarded by the chief jury of the event Mrs. Ila Sharma. The final question been asked was “If we focus more on our duties and responsibilities rather than just focusing on our rights and freedom, we can make this world a better place.” What is your opinion on this?

The answer given by contestant no. 6 Anushka Shrestha made her wear the tiara of Miss Nepal World 2019 while Contestant no. 10 Pradipta Adhikari Stood as Miss Nepal Universe 2019 and was successful at the awards called Miss Talent and Miss Athlete. 23 years of age Pradeepta Adhikari from Kathmandu is currently doing MBBS at Nepalese Army Institute of health sciences. Also been former national debater, the lady stands five feet and six inches. She loves dance, yoga and traveling. She aims to be in the higher position at World health organization.

Contestant no. 4 Reeya Basnet earned Miss Nepal Earth 2019 and also took away the award called Miss Popular choice. Having the degree of Bachelors in Business Administration, 23 years of age Riya Basnet is from Kathmandu. She stands five feet and seven inches tall. Blessed with charming and enchanting beauty, Riya is a fresher to the pageantry world. She has interests in various areas from Novel reading to sports, traveling and dance.

The court of queen’s had contestant no. 16 Meera Kakshapati as Miss Nepal International 2019 and contestant no. 12 Rose Lama as Nepal Supranational 2019. Meera Kakshapati from Bhaktapur has plenty of experience in public speaking as a freelance emcee and also been the television presenter. 23 years of age Meera is five feet and four inches. She loves reading and traveling the most. She has completed her higher education from Golden gate international college

Standing five feet and six inches, 21 years of age Rose hails from Kathmandu and currently resides in Mountain View, California. She holds a degree of Studio Art BA from Foothill College and studied Industrial Designing at Foothill College.

She has worked as FAPAC intern with Foothill & De Anza Community Colleges. Not fresh to pageantry world, Rose has already kissed victory wearing the tiara of Miss Nepal California 2017. During leisure Rose loves reading, writing and exploring new things.

In the event Meera was also successful as Miss Beautiful Hair while Rose lama was victorious in the categories called Miss Glamour and Miss Photogenic. All the top winners would now represent Nepal at 2019 edition of Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss International and Miss Supranational.

The event was been organized by The Hidden Treasure and was been choreographed Rachana Gurung Sharma and was emceed by Sanjyay Gupta.
