Aditi Arya crowned as Miss India while Model of Nepali origin Rewati Chhetri grabbed Miss Multimedia award
21 years of age Gurgaon girl Aditi Arya was declared Fbb Femina Miss India World 2015 in a grand event hosted at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai on Saturday, the 28th March 2015. The first and second runners-ups were Aafreen Rachel Vaz and Vartika Singh respectively. Among the 21 finalists of this year’s Miss India Pageant, a girl of Nepali Origin Rewati Chhetri, a Law Student hailing from Guwahati, Assam was successful till the top ten semi final phase. Eighteen years of age Rewati did grabbed Miss Multimedia awards.
New Miss India, Born in the year 1994 and standing five feet eleven inches tall, Aditi works as a communications head, aims to uplift the marginalized and ‘high at risk’ communities by way of education and vocational training. As a result of securing the top three spots, Aditi would represent India at Miss World 2015; Aafreen would participate at Miss International 2015, while Vartika would take part at the Miss Grand International beauty pageant. Besides winning crown Aditi was also successful at Miss Beautiful Hair & Miss Soduku awards. First runner-ups Aafreen was also been declared as Miss Congeniality while second runner-ups Vartika Singh was the luckiest one awarded with three subtitles called as Beauty with a purpose, Best National Costume & Photogenic.
The grand finale had an eminent jury panel with the top names of entertainment and fashion Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Manisha Koirala, Shilpa Shety, Sonali Bendre, Chitrangada Singh, filmmaker Feroz Nadiadwala, designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, and choreographer Shaimak Davar. The finale of Miss India 2015 saw electrifying performances by Bollywood celebs like Kareena Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandes, Shahid Kapoor and Famous singers like Kanika Kapoor, Meet Brothers, and Shalmali Kholgade. The show was hosted Manish Paul and was joined by the gorgeous Neha Dhupia for a segment.
