Nepali film ‘Ek Muthi Badal’ held a grand premiere event in Kathmandu on Wednesday ahead of its theatrical release. The premiere attracted filmmakers, artists, media personalities, and invited guests, creating a vibrant atmosphere centered around the film’s emotional and women-focused story.

One of the major highlights of the evening was actress Aanchal Sharma, who arrived at the premiere in a bridal-inspired appearance. Accompanied by the traditional tunes of an all-female Naumati Baja group, Aanchal entered the venue wearing a red gown and a long veil designed by fashion designer Manish Rai. Her elegant look immediately became one of the most talked-about moments of the event.

Directed by Sahara Sharma, the film places women’s emotions and experiences at the center of its narrative. In the movie, Aanchal Sharma plays the role of “Maili,” a young woman preparing for marriage while dealing with emotional struggles, family expectations, and personal conflicts. The story attempts to present the emotional complexities and realities faced by women in Nepali society in a sensitive and relatable way.

Audiences attending the premiere praised the film for its realistic portrayal of a middle-class Nepali family. Viewers also appreciated the performances, storytelling style, and emotional depth presented throughout the movie.

Producers Abhimanyu Dixit, Samipya Raj Timilsena, Nikun Shrestha, and Anup Poudel welcomed guests during the event. Following the screening, the cast and production team also interacted with journalists and discussed topics including filmmaking, representation of women, and the importance of local stories in contemporary cinema.

Producer Abhimanyu Dixit emotionally addressed the audience during the event, saying the team had made the film wholeheartedly and hoped viewers would support and spread the word about it.
