Receiving the sash symbolized more than participation in a competition. It represented commitment toward personal growth, public representation and the values associated with the Miss Nepal legacy. Understanding the importance of visual communication, a professional photography class conducted by Raj Bhai Suwal helped contestants develop camera confidence, expression techniques and posing skills.

The Miss Nepal 2026 Talent Round held on July 2, 2026, celebrated creativity, passion and individuality among the 24 finalists. Supported by The Kathmandu Post as the official media partner, the competition highlighted the artistic abilities and personal interests of contestants, reinforcing the idea that beauty is enriched by talent and creativity.

The Xiaomi Multimedia Challenge introduced a digital engagement component to the competition. Recognizing the growing influence of social media and digital communication, the challenge rewarded the contestant whose post received the highest number of likes with direct entry into the Top 12. This segment reflected the importance of digital presence and audience connection in contemporary pageantry.

The Xtreme Energy Rush Challenge tested physical strength, endurance and competitive spirit. Designed as an ultimate fitness challenge, it evaluated discipline, stamina and determination. The competition demonstrated that confidence on stage is supported by physical preparation and a commitment toward personal wellbeing. Shradha Adhikari emerged as the winner of this challenge, securing the first confirmed position in the Top 12.

The GoXtreme Swimsuit Competition held on July 4, 2026, at Bhangeri Durbar Resort, Nagarkot, became one of the most anticipated segments of the competition. The 24 finalists participated in this round, which evaluated confidence, fitness, elegance and stage presence. The segment highlighted the importance of self-confidence, discipline and professionalism rather than focusing solely on appearance. The scenic environment of Nagarkot added further grandeur to the competition.

The BYD Green Summit held on July 3, 2026, introduced the Miss Green Visionary Fast Track Challenge, focusing on environmental leadership and innovation. Contestants presented project proposals related to technology, innovation and environmental solutions.

After an evaluation process, 12 contestants advanced to the question-and-answer round, where their knowledge and communication abilities were tested. The challenge concluded with a debate between Deepmala and Shitanshu Dhakal, emphasizing the importance of sustainability advocacy among future leaders.

The fashion excellence of the contestants was highlighted through the Kajaria Nepal Top Model Fast Track Round held on July 11, 2026. The 24 finalists showcased exclusive designs by Vietnam-based designer Nhà Mot 9192, presenting an international fashion experience on the Miss Nepal platform.

The competition was evaluated by an experienced panel consisting of Shailaja Adhikari Managing Director of IEC, Ashmi Shrestha, Anup Bikram Shahi and Nancy Khadka. The winner of this challenge received direct entry into the Top 12, making it one of the most significant fast-track competitions.

The Nepal Mediciti Head-to-Head Challenge held on July 13, 2026, focused on knowledge, advocacy and communication. Contestants were evaluated through discussions on important social issues including maternal health awareness, child nutrition and malnutrition, and youth sexual education.

Following evaluation, the Top 6 contestants selected were Kashish Subba, Shreeyashi Shrestha, Sezja Shrestha, Deepmala, Bibhusha Basnet and Arya. This challenge demonstrated the importance of awareness, knowledge and communication skills in shaping the next Miss Nepal.

Fashion, Global Recognition and the Final Countdown for the Crown

Fashion has remained a defining element of Miss Nepal 2026, with renowned designers contributing to the creation of a distinctive visual identity for the competition. The collaboration between pageantry and fashion has elevated the overall presentation of the contestants while celebrating creativity and craftsmanship.

Renowned designer Manish Rai was selected as the creative mastermind behind the grand finale wardrobe. His vision brought the opening number inspired by Kajaria Tiles to life, blending structural elegance, architectural inspiration and runway sophistication. He also designed the spectacular evening gowns that finalists wear during their final appearance before the crown announcement.

Arzoo Shrestha was responsible as the official designer for the Miss Nepal 2026 Opening Ceremony outfits, creating designs that combine tradition, elegance and contemporary fashion sensibilities.

For the important closed-door preliminary interviews, Women’s Planet was selected as the official outfit design partner. Understanding the significance of this intellectual evaluation segment, the designs aimed to provide contestants with confidence, sophistication and professional elegance.

Meanwhile, Kasa Official was appointed as the designer for the Nepal Mediciti Head-to-Head Challenge outfits, bringing together innovation, style and modern fashion expression.

The international importance of Miss Nepal 2026 was been further strengthened through the visit of the Miss Cosmo 2025 delegation. From July 28 to August 3, 2026, Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist, Miss Cosmo 2025 Runner-up Chelsea Fernandez, along with Mr. Trần Việt Bảo Hoàng, CEO of Miss Cosmo and Head of the Organizing Committee, who visit Nepal to attend the grand finale.

Their presence represents a celebration of international partnership, cultural exchange and a shared vision of empowering women globally. It further highlighted Nepal’s growing connection with the international pageant community.

Adding another memorable milestone to the journey was Shree Natraj Night, held on July 29, 2026, at The Plaza, an evening dedicated to celebrating beauty, elegance and exceptional craftsmanship.

Organized by Shree Natraj Jewellers, the Official Crown Partner and Co-Sponsor of Miss Nepal 2026, the event provided the finalists with an opportunity to experience one of the most glamorous evenings of the competition. The finale Evening: Deepmala Dhakal Crowned Miss Nepal World 2026

Deepmala Dhakal was crowned Miss Nepal World 2026 during the grand finale of The Hidden Treasure Presents Kajaria Miss Nepal 2026, held at The Plaza, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, on Saturday 1st August 2026.

Joining her as Nepal’s international representatives, Arya Nishaant was crowned Miss Nepal International 2026, while Kashis Subba secured the title of Miss Nepal Cosmo 2026.

The three titleholders will now go on to represent Nepal at the Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Cosmo pageants respectively, carrying the nation’s hopes onto the global stage.

Organized by The Hidden Treasure, the country’s premier beauty pageant was presented under the inspiring theme “Top of the World,” celebrating Nepal’s unparalleled mountain heritage, resilience and global identity.

The evening commenced with a moving tribute to mountaineers from around the world whose courage has defined the spirit of the Himalayas, followed by an artistic opening performance titled “Mountain Silhouette,” in which all 24 finalists came together in a beautifully choreographed presentation that symbolized unity, strength and the majestic beauty of Nepal.

This year’s competition brought together an exceptionally accomplished group of young women representing diverse academic and professional backgrounds including medicine, law, engineering, economics, entrepreneurship and social advocacy. Throughout months of intensive training and evaluation, the contestants demonstrated not only elegance and confidence but also leadership, intellect, communication skills and a commitment to creating meaningful social impact, reaffirming the evolving philosophy of Miss Nepal as a platform for empowering women beyond the crown.

The newly crowned Miss Nepal World 2026, Deepmala Dhakal, 24, attributes much of her inspiration to her mother, who herself competed in the very first Miss Nepal pageant held in 1994. Professionally, Deepmala works as an Investment Strategist at BlackRock, one of the world’s leading investments management companies.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and has built an impressive profile beyond her professional career as both a Taekwondo Black Belt and an accomplished marathon runner, reflecting the discipline, perseverance and determination that ultimately led her to the Miss Nepal crown.

Deepmala’s remarkable performance throughout the competition was further recognized through several prestigious subtitle awards. She received the BYD Miss Green Visionary, Nepal Medicity Miss Health and Harmony, Brij Cement Miss Confident, and The Hidden Treasure Beauty with Purpose awards, underscoring her commitment to environmental awareness, healthy living, confidence and meaningful community service. Her consistent excellence throughout the competition established her as one of the strongest contenders from the very beginning.

The title of Miss Nepal International 2026 was awarded to Arya Nishaant, whose grace, intelligence and confident stage presence earned her the opportunity to represent Nepal at the internationally acclaimed Miss International pageant.

Kashis Subba captured the Miss Nepal Cosmo 2026 crown after delivering an impressive overall performance and further distinguished herself by winning the Kajaria Miss Top Model award, recognizing her exceptional runway presentation and fashion excellence.

As the competition advanced through successive elimination rounds, the judges selected twelve outstanding contestants who moved forward in the contest. The Top 12 included Anshu Kunwar, Shraddha Adhikari, Kashis Subba, Arya Nishaant, Shitanshu Dhakal, Prema Lamgade, Deepmala Dhakal, Sezja Shrestha, Bibhusha Basnet, Swikriti Gyawali, Shreeyashi Shrestha and Arbisha Thapa, each of whom impressed the panel through their performances, interviews and overall presentation.

The evening also celebrated individual excellence through numerous subtitle awards. Prema Lamgade received both Xiaomi Miss Multimedia and Shree Natraj Miss Sparkling Diva, while Shraddha Adhikari was honored with the Xtreme Energy Miss Active title.

Shitanshu Dhakal earned widespread recognition by winning National Life Miss Empowered Choices and The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellectual awards.

Arbisha Thapa was selected as Real Miss Popular Choice, Chadani Shrestha received the Farmasi Face of the Year award, Shreeyashi Shrestha won Dabur Vatika Miss Beautiful Hair, Puja Paudel was named Miss DHI, Yukta Poudel received the Miss Photogenic title, Bibhusha Basnet was honored with the Woman with Wings award, and Sezja Shrestha earned the Miss Prestine title. The contestants were evaluated by an esteemed jury panel comprising Reecha Shrestha, Sarik Bogati, Purnima Shrestha, Srichha Pradhan, Jitendra Bahadur Chand, Yolina Lindquist, Birendra Raj Pandey and Rajani Thapa, who assessed them through multiple rounds based on personality, confidence, communication skills, leadership potential, intelligence, social awareness and overall stage presence.

Following subsequent rounds of evaluation, the competition narrowed further to the Top Six finalists, comprising Kashis Subba, Arya Nishaant, Shitanshu Dhakal, Deepmala Dhakal, Bibhusha Basnet, and Swikriti Gyawali.

The finalists demonstrated exceptional poise, intelligence, confidence and stage presence as they progressed through the final question-and-answer segment before the judges made their ultimate decision. From this distinguished group, Deepmala Dhakal emerged as Miss Nepal World 2026, Arya Nishaant was crowned Miss Nepal International 2026, and Kashis Subba was awarded the title of Miss Nepal Cosmo 2026, while Shitanshu Dhakal, Bibhusha Basnet and Swikriti Gyawali concluded their remarkable Miss Nepal journey as Top Six finalists after delivering outstanding performances throughout the competition.
