Senior Nepali actress Subhadra Adhikari has been admitted to Civil Hospital, after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
The 68-year-old Nepali actress had gone to the hospital for a regular check-up for gastritis when she was diagnosed with pneumonia, informed her son Sunil Adhikari. As such she was admitted to the hospital on December 15. Since then Subhadra has been kept at the hospital’s HCU (High Care Unit) under medical observation. “Her health is improving now. She isn’t allowed to eat cold food items and cold drinks for time being,” Sunil informed.
The veteran actress has acted in hundreds of Nepali films including Jeevan Rekha, Kanyadan, Manko Bandh, among others. She is also the author of autobiography Jeevan Gatha.
Meanwhile, Film Development Board, Nepal has decided to bear the expenses of her treatment. Raj Kumar Rai, President of Film Development Board, Nepal informed, “We have decided to provide financial assistance to treatment as an acknowledgement of her contribution to the Nepali film industry. The financial assistance will be given from Kalyankari Aakshya Kosh of the Board.”
