Tanka Budhathoki to Direct ‘Man Binako Dhan 2’, Pooja Sharma Confirmed
The sequel to the successful Nepali film ‘Man Binako Dhan’ has officially been announced. Following the strong box office performance of the first installment last year, the makers are now preparing to bring ‘Man Binako Dhan 2’ to audiences.
Released last year, ‘Man Binako Dhan’ became one of the commercially successful Nepali films, collecting around NPR 4 crore at the box office. Encouraged by the response, the production team has now started work on the sequel.
Director Tanka Budhathoki will once again direct the film under the banner of Tanka Budhathoki Production. This project will be the production house’s second official presentation.
The screenplay and dialogues for the sequel are being written by Shivam Adhikari, while Tanka Budhathoki himself will handle the story and music of the movie. According to the makers, the film is currently in the pre-production phase.
Meanwhile, actress Pooja Sharma has officially signed the film as the lead actress. The agreement between Pooja Sharma and the production team was completed on Sunday.
The shooting of ‘Man Binako Dhan 2’ is expected to begin from Bhadra. However, the makers have not yet revealed the names of the other cast members.
Director Tanka Budhathoki shared that the team is currently focused on preparation work and plans to finalize additional actors soon. He said that bringing Pooja Sharma on board at the early stage was an important step for the project.
Pooja Sharma also expressed her happiness about joining the film. According to her, the emotional and family-oriented storyline, along with her character, attracted her to the project. She mentioned that she immediately connected with the script and the team behind the film.
The movie will be produced by Bishnu Maya Mainali. With the success of the first film and the addition of Pooja Sharma in the sequel, expectations around ‘Man Binako Dhan 2’ have already started growing among Nepali movie audiences.
