The official muhurat ceremony of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Chiranjibi Bhawa’ has been completed. The production team organized a script worship ceremony on Monday at the famous Banglamukhi Temple in Lalitpur, officially marking the beginning of the film’s production journey.
The ceremony was attended by the director and major cast members of the film. Veteran actor Haribansha Acharya gave the movie’s first shot during the muhurat event. According to the production team, the opening scene performed by Haribansha also hints at the meaning behind the film’s title, ‘Chiranjibi Bhawa’.
Actors Ashirbad Chhetri and Prashansa Rayamajhi were also present during the ceremony alongside other team members.
The film is being produced under the banners of Jigri Entertainment and Premier Production. Shooting is scheduled to begin from Jestha 15 and will continue for around 45 days. The movie will be filmed in multiple locations including Dhankuta, Sunsari, and Kathmandu. The makers are planning to release the film on Magh 1.
The movie is directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya ‘Kaku’, who rose to fame after the massive success of last year’s blockbuster Nepali movie ‘Paran’. The film became one of the highest-grossing Nepali movies of the year and established Deepak as one of the promising commercial directors in the industry.
Popular comedian and content creator Kumar Kattel, widely known as ‘Jigri Bro’, is also associated with the project. The story of ‘Chiranjibi Bhawa’ has been written by Kumar Kattel, while the screenplay and writing are handled by Sabin Adhikari and Basanta Neupane.
The movie features a strong ensemble cast including Haribansha Acharya, Priyanka Karki, Suwarna Thapa, Ashirbad Chhetri, Kamalmani Nepal, Saroj Aryal, influencer and model Prashansa Rayamajhi, Haris Niraula ‘Cockroach’, Suman Karki, and Sushmita Kunwar.
According to the production team, ‘Chiranjibi Bhawa’ will be a social drama focusing on the emotional relationship and ideological differences between two generations. The makers believe the film will connect with audiences through its relatable family and social themes.
The film is produced by Umesh Kumar Baral, while Gajit Bista and Shailesh Khatri are attached as executive producers.
