Prabhas is preparing to return to the big screen as a soldier shaped by rebellion, sacrifice and a forgotten chapter of Indian history. The makers of his much-awaited period action drama Fauzi have officially announced that the film will release in cinemas worldwide on December 3, 2026.
Directed by Sita Ramam filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi presents Prabhas in an intense period setting linked to colonial India. The release-date poster carries the message that an unknown or concealed chapter has ended and “the rebellion begins,” positioning the film as a story of resistance rather than a conventional military drama.
The newly unveiled visual shows Prabhas in a battle-worn and blood-streaked avatar, reinforcing the film’s themes of war, courage and personal sacrifice. The makers have so far protected major details about the storyline, but the official description refers to the “bravest tale of a soldier” emerging from hidden pages of history.
Prabhas Teams Up with Hanu Raghavapudi
Fauzi marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi. The pairing has generated interest because Raghavapudi is widely associated with visually rich romantic and period storytelling, while Prabhas has become one of Indian cinema’s most prominent large-scale action stars.
The film also features Imanvi as the female lead. Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher are listed among the principal cast, adding experienced performers to the historical drama. Vishal Chandrasekhar is handling the music, with Mythri Movie Makers backing the production.

Some media outlets have reported that Fauzi may have a budget of approximately ₹600 crore, potentially placing it among India’s most expensive productions. That number has not been confirmed by Mythri Movie Makers or T-Series.
Likewise, no streaming platform has officially announced the film’s post-theatrical digital release. Reports naming an OTT service or streaming window should currently be regarded as unverified.
