
The grand finale of Miss Teen Newa World and Mister Newa World 1146, organized to highlight the cultural identity and ethnic beauty of the Newar community, has been successfully completed. In the Miss Teen Newa World 1146 category, Sajagata Manandhar secured the title. Along with winning the crown, she also bagged the Best Nepal Language and Best Walk awards. Former Kumari Trishna Shakya crowned the winner.
In the competition, Prarthana Shrestha was declared First Runner-up, winning the Friendship, Confident, and Best Attire awards. Yurina Maharjan became the Second Runner-up after receiving the Best Skin and Talent awards. Sneha Shrestha secured the position of Third Runner-up, earning the Beauty with Purpose and Most Popular awards. Sneha was also selected as the brand ambassador of Jagat Sundar Bwonekuthi.
The event began with a special ceremonial worship in the presence of former Kumaris—Nani Manya Shakya, Rashmila Shakya, Priti Shakya, Matina Shakya, and Trishna Shakya, who are revered as living cultural heritage of Nepal.

The program was chaired by Engineer Dilli Ratna Shakya, president of Sri Khand Tarumul Mahabihar. Special guests included Sunita Manandhar, Principal of Jagat Sundar Bwonekuthi; Tirtha Shakya, head of Lotus Mindfulness and Relaxation; social worker Dimak Barahi; and Miss Hostel Nepal First Runner-up Bandana Kharel. Organized under the banner of Rex Entertainment by Khagesh Ranjitkar, the event took place at the auditorium of The Blue Pavilion in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Hosted and choreographed by media person and fashion choreographer Rozin Shakya, the Mister Newa World 1146 competition crowned Nitibh Shrestha as the winner. He also received the Best Skin, Ramp Walk, and Best Attire awards. Similarly, Saksham Shrestha was selected as the First Runner-up with the Talent and Inquisitive awards, while Kalas Manandhar was declared Second Runner-up with the Social Ambassador award.
In the Miss Teen category, Jyoti Tuladhar, and in the Mister category, Rudra Shahi, were chosen for the Organizer’s Choice Award. The event also featured the launch of the short story collection “Chobhar Blues” by writer and author Bikram Bhakta Joshi, jointly unveiled by the former Kumaris. Senior journalist Shyam Smriti and author Bikram Bhakta Joshi were honored during the ceremony.
The judging panel for the Mister category included Sarju Ranjit, Director of HR & Admin at The Malla Hotel and singer; Rishi Prasad Neupane, Principal of Jubilant College; Krish Maharjan, trainer of traditional Newar musical instruments and operator of Lustomandu; Saman Bajracharya, model and operator of Newar Preserves; and Ashray Ranjit, winner of Newa Idol.
For the Miss Teen category, the judges were Sabi Sthapit, fashion designer of Sabi for Ladies Wear; Ratnita Shakya, First Runner-up of Miss Newa Icon 1145; makeup artist and influencer Pari Shakya; Nishita Joshi, First Runner-up of Miss Bibha 2025; and model Apravi Maharjan.
