Nepali Wuma Kung Fu Athlete Sarina Ghale Wins Gold in Britain
Nepali Wuma Kung Fu athlete Sarina Ghale has brought pride to Nepal after winning a gold medal at the WMAC British Championship held in Worcester, United Kingdom. Competing in the Women’s Creative Form 18+ Mixed Belt category, Sarina secured the top position with an impressive score of 22.9 points.
The competition was closely contested. England’s Amelia Parkin finished second with 22.8 points, just 0.1 point behind Sarina. The narrow margin made Sarina’s victory even more remarkable, highlighting her precision, discipline, and strong performance under pressure.
Sarina, who moved to the United Kingdom around two years ago for higher studies, has continued to balance academics and athletics with determination. According to reports citing Nepal Wuma Kung Fu Association President Sanjit Kumar Rai, she has already completed a Master of Science in Digital Marketing. Alongside her studies, she has remained active in sports and has also participated in several running events, including the London Marathon.
Her latest victory is more than a personal achievement. For many Nepalis living abroad, Sarina’s success represents dedication, identity, and national pride. Competing on an international stage while carrying Nepal’s name, she has shown that Nepali athletes can shine globally with persistence and hard work.
Sarina’s focus now shifts to an even bigger platform. She is preparing for the WMAC World Championships 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Austria from September 17 to 20, 2026. The upcoming championship will give her another opportunity to represent Nepal on the world martial arts stage.
With her gold medal win in the UK, Sarina Ghale has once again proved that Nepali sporting talent can make a strong mark beyond national borders. Her journey from higher studies in the UK to international martial arts success is an inspiring story of ambition, discipline, and national pride.
