Shakti Mohan’s Nepal Visits Point to Dance Across The World Project
Shakti Mohan’s mysterious Nepal journey is finally beginning to reveal its bigger story.
After months of photographs from Bandipur, flights within Nepal and heritage locations in the Kathmandu Valley, the Indian dancer and choreographer has now shared her clearest clue yet, a promotional visual carrying the words “Dance Across The World” and “Nepal.”
The teaser photo appears to connect her recent Nepal travels with Dance Across The World, the international dance-and-travel series produced through her Nritya Shakti platform.
Shakti stopped short of revealing exactly what audiences will see. Instead, she teased followers by suggesting that while the destination is now known, the experiences waiting there remain a surprise.
“This is just the beginning,” she wrote while sharing the Nepal-linked teaser photo. Her post also includes the hashtags #DanceAcrossTheWorld, #NrityaShakti and #GlobalDanceTales, making the connection with her established global series increasingly difficult to miss.
Nepal Appears to Be Joining Shakti Mohan’s Global Dance Story
Dance Across The World combines Shakti’s two major passions; dance and travel, While introducing audiences to cultural traditions in destinations around the world.
Nritya Shakti has described the project as a travel-dance series in which Shakti journeys through different countries exploring local cultures, iconic landmarks, traditions, food and, importantly, dances.
The format has previously taken viewers from traditional dance experiences to local cuisine, famous attractions and interactions with artists and communities.
Season 1 travelled through Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Tanzania. Later journeys have included Georgia, Australia, Bhutan and Russia.
Shakti has also explained that one of the ideas behind the project is to introduce traditional folk-dance forms to younger generations and celebrate cultural traditions that have existed for centuries.
India Today reported on February 9, 2026, that Shakti was preparing to begin Season 3 of Dance Across The World during the year. However, neither Shakti nor Nritya Shakti has publicly confirmed through the material currently available exactly where Nepal falls within the season structure.
What is becoming increasingly clear is that her recent Nepal appearances were connected by more than tourism photographs.
The Nepal Clues Started in Bandipur
Glamour Nepal first reported Shakti’s cultural experience in Bandipur on May 29, 2026. During the visit, she explored the historic hill town in Tanahun while wearing traditional Nepali attire and experiencing its heritage atmosphere and local culture.
Bandipur, known for its preserved traditional architecture and hill-town character, provided exactly the kind of cultural setting frequently seen in Dance Across The World.
At the time, however, there was not enough information to connect the visit definitively with a particular production.
What initially appeared to be a celebrity travel and cultural experience now looks like one of the earliest pieces of a wider Nepal story.
Buddha Air Post Added Another Clue
Another important signal arrived on July 11. Shakti shared photographs beside a Buddha Air aircraft, once again creating speculation around her movements in Nepal. Significantly, the post included the hashtag #DanceAcrossTheWorld.
Buddha Air also acknowledged her journey through its social-media presence.
At that stage, it remained unclear whether the photographs represented a new trip, an earlier journey or material connected to an upcoming project. But when viewed alongside everything that followed, the airline post now appears to have been another clue in the unfolding campaign.
Patan Photos Made the Project Theory Stronger
The mystery deepened further in July when Shakti shared a carefully styled heritage photo series from Lalitpur’s historic Patan area.
Dressed in a striking red ensemble and surrounded by traditional brick architecture and intricately carved wooden details, she once again placed Nepal’s cultural heritage at the centre of her visual storytelling.
The appearance of hashtags associated with Dance Across The World and Global Dance Tales strengthened speculation that something larger was being developed around her Nepal travels. Glamour Nepal raised that possibility at the time, although there was still no official project announcement.
The newly unveiled “Dance Across The World – Nepal” branding now gives those earlier photographs significantly more context.
Rather than separate travel posts, Bandipur, the domestic-flight clue and her Kathmandu Valley heritage imagery increasingly look like chapters in the same creative journey.
What Could ‘Dance Across The World: Nepal’ Feature?
That remains the biggest unanswered question. Previous installments demonstrate that the programme goes considerably beyond performing a single dance routine.
In the Sri Lanka episode, Shakti experienced Kandyan dance, visited a cultural dance centre, explored local markets, prepared food, wore traditional clothing and travelled through some of the country’s best-known landscapes and attractions.
The USA chapter moved between locations including Times Square and the Alvin Ailey studios while incorporating dance personalities, breaking, food, sport and travel experiences. The UAE finale similarly mixed cultural encounters and dance with destination experiences.
That storytelling format makes Nepal a particularly rich setting.
The country offers diverse folk and ethnic dance traditions, distinctive costumes, music, living heritage, traditional architecture and dramatically different landscapes within relatively short travelling distances.
Shakti’s choice of culturally significant destinations such as Bandipur and the Kathmandu Valley also suggests that heritage could play an important role in the Nepal chapter.
For now, however, there is no confirmed information identifying which Nepali dance traditions, performers, communities or additional destinations will appear. There is also no confirmed release date available yet for the Nepal installment.
From Travel Mystery to ‘Dance Across The World – Nepal’
When Shakti Mohan’s first Bandipur photographs appeared, they could easily be read simply as images from an Indian celebrity enjoying Nepal.
Then came another Nepal-linked journey. Then came the Dance Across The World hashtags. Then the heritage photographs.
Now comes the clearest message of all: Nepal is being presented as part of Shakti Mohan’s Dance Across The World journey.
The full experience is still being kept under wraps, which may be exactly the point of the campaign.
And if Shakti’s closing tease “This is just the beginning” is any indication, the biggest reveal may still be ahead.
