Creativity been explored at Charismatique Fashionistas


charismatique-fashionistas-1Glamour Nepal – 13th June 2014 was a big day for the 9th batch graduating students of Namuna College of Fashion Technology. After the hardships of several weeks on event marketing, merchandising and every other aspects of event management, finally the 22 student designers were successfully able to let the mass and moreover the judges feel what they have learned through out last three years during the study of Bachelor in fashion designing, BFD.

During the show that took place at Hotel Yak and Yeti, the aspiring designers put up their creativity in five different rounds. The event took off with Pashmina round which explored the variation of pashmina products bringing out with the best wearable garments out of pashmina. The designs featured flowy, draped, elegant designs along with casual and comfy wear. The second round came up with the sequence called mesmerizing which featured attires with common silhouettes. The various innovative beautiful necklines on the dresses were the highlight of this round. The dresses ranged from full length and knee length styles. The third round featured the runway moods having the summer spring collection with summer colors and prints as the major part of the collection. This collection had knee length and calf length dresses with casual mood. Box pleats, frills, fringes and ruffles were found adding value to this collection. Then came living the style came into the action. This theme portrayed the dresses resembling the beauty of life cycle of a butterfly. The collection had knee length outfits with block print, tie-dye effect as the highlights. Different hues of colors were found been used with chiffon, cotton and tissue being the major fabrics.choreographer-rojin-shakyaThe event been Choreographed by Rojin Shakya had some thirty number of models, six being male and remaining ones were the females. The fifty percent of the models who walked on the runway were the student designers of Namuna College itself whereas the remaining fifty percent of the models comprised of aspiring and the professional ones. The last but the major part of the show was the sequence called creative legacy where 22 promising student designers put up their skill, creativity, innovative idea to bring some wonderful creative designs based on the awareness theme having a story and a message behind its aesthetics and composition. This was the sequence which brought art to make its voice heard and fantasy come alive. Designers’ innovation were been judged by the panel of judges which was been prejudged earlier during the swatch work presentation.

As been informed by the college management grades given at the Prejudgment Program will be combined with the grades that will be given by the panel of judges to the designers’ individual creations under the “Creative Round” sequence at the Annual Graduation Fashion Show. The aggregate grade received by each graduating designer will then later be published by Purbanchal University under the subject “Fashion Show” as part of its End Semester Board Examinations of Bachelors of Fashion Design (BFD) program.
