Titled “The Story Behind the World’s Best Designers”, the feature was part of FashionTV’s acclaimed “Designers at Work” series during marathon broadcasts covering the major Fashion Weeks. It aired via FashionTV Brazil across major platforms including Clear (Channel 551), Sky (84), Live (548), Vivo Fibra (603), and Hi TV (150).

Highlighting 20 Years of Sustainable Innovation

The documentary, which premiered at London Fashion Week, celebrates Sanyukta’s remarkable 20-year journey from her humble beginnings in Nepal to becoming a global icon in sustainable fashion. FashionTV described the documentary and collection as:
“A testament to her dedication to ethical and sustainable practices… showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of local artisans. The documentary, ‘Cohesion’, offers a glimpse into Shrestha’s journey from her roots in Nepal to her global success.”

Giving a Voice to the People Behind the Craft

In Cohesion, Sanyukta pays tribute to the hands behind her designs, emphasizing that fashion is a collective journey:
“This is not just about me in the spotlight,” says Sanyukta. “It is about every individual behind the scenes—from the models, photographers, and coordinators, to the artisans, farmers, and women weavers in Nepal. They are the soul of my work.”

Representing Nepal on a global fashion platform, Sanyukta is proud to shine a light on her homeland’s rich culture, traditional craftsmanship, and commitment to sustainability.

The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection ‘A Showcase of Ethical Elegance’

Unveiled at London Fashion Week, the Spring/Summer 2025 Collection is a striking fusion of Nepalese heritage and modern, eco-conscious design. Crafted from vegan, cruelty-free, and Fairtrade materials like nettle, hemp, and organic bamboo, each piece embodies luxury with a conscience.

Some garments required up to 2,000 hours of meticulous handwork, reflecting the brand’s commitment to slow fashion. The collection features:

  • Hand-loomed brocades
  • Intricate embroidery
  • Hand-painted organic cottons

“Fashion should not only look and feel good—it must do good,” says the designer. “By valuing artisans, we help preserve traditional skills and support a more sustainable fashion future.”
