The Heritage Pageants, an international beauty competition, was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 9 to 16, 2024. This prestigious event brought remarkable success for several Nepali youths, who excelled in various categories and showcased their talent on a global stage.
Among the winners, Prashansa Budhathoki claimed the coveted Heritage Gems Universe title, reflecting her grace and charm. Basant Lamichhane secured the Mister Heritage Universe title, a testament to his charisma and representation of Nepali culture. Additionally, Manisha Rajbanshi was crowned Heritage Petite Universe, celebrating her poise and individuality. Further adding to Nepal’s achievements, Sushmita Shrestha emerged victorious in the Ms. Heritage International category, making her one of the standout participants of the competition.
In the Miss category, Alisha Lo received special recognition as the Tourism Ambassador, highlighting her role in promoting Nepal’s tourism and cultural heritage. She also won two additional awards: Miss Best Smile for her radiant and confident personality, and Miss Photogenic for her captivating presence in front of the camera. Meanwhile, Shishir Lamichhane was appointed Grand Heritage Runway Ambassador, a role that underscores his influence in representing heritage through fashion and style.
The Nepali delegation participated in the pageant under the leadership of National Director Pramila Silwal and Event Director Ramesh Shahi. Their guidance and support were instrumental in ensuring the success of the contestants. The Nepali participants were selected through the Model Superstar competition, a prestigious national platform that celebrates emerging talents. Notably, Basant Lamichhane and Prashansa Budhathoki were the winners of the Model Superstar contest, while Sushmita Shrestha, Alisha Lo, and Manisha Rajbanshi were chosen as winners of the Organizer’s Choice category.
The participants’ stunning outfits were designed by Samiksha Lamichhane, a talented fashion designer from Nepal. Her creations highlighted Nepal’s cultural richness and contemporary flair, enabling the contestants to leave a lasting impression on the international stage.
The pageant was organized by E Planet Pte Ltd Singapore, led by its chairman, Santosh Sapkota. The event’s overall coordination and management were handled by Susan Koh from Singapore, with assistance from co-coordinator Durga Bishural. A collaborative effort in choreography brought vibrancy to the stage presentations, with Rojin Shakya, a renowned Nepali fashion choreographer, teaming up with Wesley Cheah, a Malaysian stage and dance choreographer.
