The Chairman of Nepalese Fashion Home, Hema Manandhar and President at Nepal Kyokushin Seishin Kaikan Karate Association, Ashok Kumar Shrestha has been bestowed with STAR 2020, World Book of Records Award.
Hema Manandhar is also the chairperson at Social Development Campaign Nepal, lifetime Member at Nepal Cancer Relief Society, Chairperson at Women’s Education and Skill Development Organization and also the chartered president at Lions Club of Kathmandu Temple Valley.
Earlier a year prior Shihan Ashok Kumar Shrestha was been honored with Senior Master of the year 2019 and Excellent Education Box of martial arts 2019 Gold awards at Swiss Hall of Honor 2019 organized by Martial Arts International Federation, Switzerland.
Manandhar and Shrestha have continuously been serving in the promotion and proliferation of Newar culture, language, and ethnicity through Miss Newa pageant under the banner of Nepalese Fashion Home. The banner has also the events like Little Miss Newa, Kid Queen Nepal, Master Star and Princess Nepal.
The social activists duo Hema and Ashok are been felicitated with Star 2020 as the recognition of their continuous contribution through various humanitarian services in the time of pandemic and lockdown due to COVID-19. Manadhar and Shrestha have also been continuously been helping underprivileged children with various stationery to support their education and also with eateries and clothing for their daily living. The felicitation ceremony was been held mainly in the presence Minister of Woman, Children and Senior Citizen, Parbat Gurung, Sagar Katwal President, World Book of Records, Nepal, Nirnaya Shrestha Performing artist and social activist.
World Book of Records, London and World Record Publishing Company has initiated publishing an edition called Star 2020 to appreciate the Corona Warriors. The award is been initiated to appreciate the individuals, professionals, health workers, organizations who have played a vital role and paved the way forward to serve humanity during the period of lockdown and combat against COVID 19.
Several people and organizations have been bestowed with this coveted recognition. The initiatives are also being included in the Star 2020 Directory edition.
