Anjali Lama Transgender Model awarded as ‘Model of The Year’ Grazia Millennial Awards 2019

Nepal’s Transgender Model Anjali Lama awarded as ‘Model of the Year’ at the first edition of GMA19 (Grazia Millennial Award 2019), showcased in Mumbai on 19th June 2019.

The award aimed to celebrate millennial who have achieved accolades and have had an impact on the minds of the masses.

The star studded award ceremony was been attended by some of the biggest stars of Bollywood like Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal etc.

With history creating appearance at India’s Lakme Fashion Week in 2017, Anjali has been counted as one the most successful South Asian transgender model who earlier in the year 2018 bagged Agent of Social Change award at GQ Style Awards 2018.

Earlier, Anjali was also been featured in Calvin Klein’s latest regional campaigns named ‘My Statement, #MyCalvins#BalanceForBetter’. In the video published by the international brand on the occasion of International Women Day, Anjali was seen alongside the other stars of the campaign in a dark blue Calvin Klein innerwear and leggings.

The campaign was released on 14th March 2019 to celebrate women and all those chosen candidates who made a notable personal and empowering journey in their career.

Anjali was constantly told to behave in the right way when she was a small boy. She tried, but how can she hide her true self especially when she was just a child.

Anjali’s struggle is real, but on her way, she explored new possibilities in life and finally found peace with herself. This chiseled beauty uses simple skincare practice that is cleansing, toning and moisturizing with pure coconut oil.

No wonder she is praised for the beautiful skin that mirrors her soul. Despite limited opportunities available for transgender models, Anjali worked really hard and fought through rejections with pride.
