Police arrested two youths in suspect of pirating Nepali movie DREAMS. Bidhan Gurung (21) from Bhairahawa-13 of Rupandehi district and Chandra Labaju (21) from Tapachal-3 of Bhaktapur district were arrested from the office of Highlights Nepal Pvt Ltd in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Both of them are workers of Highlights Nepal . The company is an online movie and music distributor company of Nepal.
The Metropolitan Police Crime Division said police had action after complaints were filed with police by the movie’s copyright holder among others. The distributor and the producer (Super Kajol Films) have claimed Rs 10 million as a compensation.
While investigating into the complaints filed by Highlights Nepal Pvt Ltd and Super Kajal Films Pvt Ltd as well as a letter from the Nepal Film Artists’ Association, police made the arrest, the statement said.
The film is directorial debut of actor Bhuwan KC, Featuring Anamol KC (Bhuwan KC’s son), Samragyee RL Shah and Sandhya KC in lead roles.
