Nepal Film Society is organizing Kathmandu International Film Festival (KIFF). Holding a formal program on Thursday, the society informed about the festival. The five-day event will kick off on Magh 19 and end on Magh 23.
“We started the festival with an aim to make reach of Nepali Film from villages to abroad. We will make the festival more magnificent in coming days,” said Chairman of society Krishna Malla.
Films from 10 countries will be screened at the festival. Two films from Russia, Switzerland and one films each from India, South Korea, Israel, Spain, France, Norway, Slovakia and Denmark.
One Nepali Film will be screened each day. ‘Baanphul’, ‘Da Khate’, ‘Bhimdutta’, ‘Kathmandu’ and ‘Paal’ will be screened from Nepal. At the festival to be organized at Russian Cultural Center, there will be four shows except on the first day.
